PGGB•IT! + Azure Testimonial

Thanks to Ruud L., Amsterdam for this Testimonial
I was always finetuning and looking to get the best out of my audio chain hardware. Sometimes software can help you to accomplish an upgrade in the audio experience. So I seriously investigated upsampling and the discussion to upsample or not; to let the streamer or the DAC upsample; to let the software player upsample. A tried them all. Then I got a new DAC capable at doing native DSD512 in pure NOS. So i started to download native DSD DXD recordings. It appears my DAC loved that and more important my ears also.

Then Remastero came into the picture and did a PGGB trial for a month. It already was obvious this would be a software upgrade worth to investigate further. Problem was computer power. You will need CPU power and RAM. Both are now expensive as datacenters are consuming it all. Then AudioWise PGGB-IT! came into the picture which allowed me to connect PGGB processing to the Microsoft Azure environment. The solution would get me the needed computer power for low cost. I did a trial and again, my ears loved it. Converting an entire album took only about an hour on Azure instead of converting a single song in 3 hours on my underpowered NUC.

Azure computing may be a steep learning curve for some people but once you get the hang of it it wont be a problem. And my for my ears (and my wife's!) PGGB upsampling is a worthwhile upgrade. But as always it depends on your audio chain. Trial it. If you don't hear it don't buy it and don't judge. Maybe you change something in you're chain in the future, come back and have another test. Maybe it will hit you're ears then.
