Audiowise RF Isolation System
Let me start by saying that the sound coming out of this system is nothing short of stunning. This setup is hard to describe, as there's a complex chain of connections that will make your head spin, but basically starts with its PGGB unit performing offline upsampling (floating point DSP, 24/768 conversion) to the Chord Mojo2 DAC while fed by a carefully isolated power supply, housed in an RF-STOP Faraday Isolation Box that shields its audio components from RF noise.
Dan Mance, its Chief Engineer, obliged when I offered to send him some music files (WiFi at the show was erratic) and the day after, I returned and listening through the ZMF Caldera (both Closed and Open) on two different amps (one being the Benchmark HPA4), I was immediately taken aback by the vast soundstage, clarity and precise imaging I was hearing, and kept thinking whether this was more of the headphone or if it was the isolation system. Asking Dan very politely, he granted that I test the Caldera with two other setups at the show (the Ferrum stack & the Naim Uniti Atom), and yes...there was definitely a difference. Let me be clear: the Audiowise isolation system can compete with any setup worthy of a true high-end endgame.
